Assessing a location takes more than assumptions. What matters is understanding how people move, where high visitor volumes occur and which means of transport shape a location. This is where intervista’s location analyses come in.
Using our mobility data, we analyse how frequently locations across Switzerland are visited and the mobility patterns behind these visits. This provides a sound basis for decision-making in transport planning, retail, real estate and out-of-home advertising.
The data comes from the Footprints Panel, Switzerland’s largest mobility research project. Continuous measurement ensures that the data is always up to date.
One particularly illustrative application is our hectare grid, which shows visitor volumes by means of transport for every hectare in Switzerland. It provides a highly granular view of where people travel on foot, by bike, by public transport or by car. This makes it possible to compare locations across Switzerland, identify potential and analyse mobility patterns with spatial precision.

Our analyses help you understand mobility patterns and use them to make better location-based decisions.
Identify where infrastructure is heavily used and how flows of people are distributed across an area.
Assess locations based on visitor volumes, accessibility and mobility behaviour in the surrounding area.
Assess location quality based on data and evaluate sites for development.
Test potential new sites and identify locations with high visibility and reach.
Our location analyses are suitable both for strategic questions and for assessing individual sites. Depending on your needs, we analyse regions, cities and neighbourhoods or the immediate surroundings of a specific location.
Typical questions include:
Our analyses provide a sound and transparent basis for selecting, assessing and developing locations.
